Pick up the total Theseus series so far (the final Volume 3 is in production now). Jump into the story of Theseus with both feet, instead of one foot like some kind of person...who's afraid of jumping.
Theseus is a well-known figure in mythology for defeating bandits, killing the minotaur, and ruling over Athens. While the story itself is a fable, there is likely a true story that undergirds the legend. This is most definitely not it.
This is a satirical retelling of Theseus' first 8 adventures in Ancient Greece. And rather than powerful hero from the myth, Theseus is neither very strong nor particularly smart, but forced to grow into the hero as he's swept up in a tide of accidental fortunes and the schemes of gods and men.
After learning that his father is king of Athens, Theseus sets out on foot to meet him, encountering bandits and beasts across the landscape of Ancient Greece.

Content is equivalent to a 'PG' rating for fantasy style action. And probably sarcasm.
